Default Windjammer?

I heard about these cruises today from a friend. It sounds pretty neat. The idea of being on a sailboat instead of a giant cruise ship. But, would it get kind of boring? Without having all the fancy dining rooms, arcades, rock walls, and pools? Has anyone been on of these?

Yeah, I think it would be a unique experience though. I've always wanted to go sailing.

I've looked into them. Personally, I wouldn't enjoy it. I am a big ship kind of a guy, but if you are into sailing and that stuff, I'd go for it.

Yeah, I like the big ships too. But, I also think it would be so cool to just be sailing on this small ship. I think the goal of Windjammer is to have the destination as the destination, not the ship as the destination.

Exactly, the destinations are the reason to cruise Windjammer. Also, they go to islands large ships cant, which is really nice. As I said before, it's a good option for people who have that interest, but it's not for me.

I see what your saying. I also doubt there would be very many teenagers on board.

The Windjammer line is comprised of 4 small sailing clippers including: the S.V. Legacy, S.V. Mandalay, S.V. Polynesia and S.V. Yankee Clipper. The wondjammer line is probably most popular because of its ports, the ships, being the size that they are, can travel to more exotic destinations that large ships can't efficiently travel to. The ports of call for the Windjamer line include: The Treasure Isles, Costa Rica, The Grenadines, Windward and Leeward Islands, Panama and San Blas, The French West Indies and British Virgin Islands. The base idea behind these ships is a relaxed atmosphere which explains the casual attire for dining and the moderate number of passengers that the ships travel. The Windjammer line typically runs 7-14 day itineraries. One thing that should be noted is that these are vintage ships that have been restored. The Legacy was built in 1959, the Yankee Clipper in 1927, the Mandalay in 1923 and the Polynesia 1938. Most entered service as passenger vessels in the 60s-80s.
