My DH, my sister and I are so looking forward to getting out of the dang deep freeze for a week. Can't wait!! I hope my fellow Canadians are keeping warm with dreams of the Caribbean....

Cyndi, the predicted high tonight in beautiful Montreal is -25 degrees celsius. I am counting the minutes. I can not wait till we port in Key West and head over to Jimmy Buffets Margeritaville Bar.

Roll call for every other Canuck out there that will be on that ship.

Toga Toga Toga Toga!

Ciao
Mario

Toga, Toga, Toga,

Hi Cyndi & Mario,

I read a funny story on one of the other boards today. The morning after the toga party, everyone on the ship was moving around the ship getting ready for disembarkation. This couple was walking around, still a little drunk and wearing their togas, asking people where the luggage was being kept. . Seems they put everyting out side their cabin the night before, but forgot to keep some clothes for themselves.

I am sooo ready to cruise, I might just wear my toga getting on the ship.

Stay warm,

Bob

Ahoy there! 30 sleeps!
Heck, right now, in this weather, I would wear a diaper to get on any ship!
I read more than one story about toga clad disembarkees ... right now it seems like a perfectly acceptable fashion statement! And, I have seen much worse in airports! Can't wait. Toga Toga Toga!

You know, I read on one site that they have art auctions on board sometimes. Mario, I guess you would know about this. Anyway, they serve free champagne, - is that correct?? Hey, I am all about free... I am looking for "I AM Canadian" t-shirts - or, "Canadian Olympic Beaver Tossing Team" - I think beaver tossing should be a winter olympic sport..... similiar to discus...... Thoughts?

I was at every auction and yes they did serve free refreshments, its worth the time spent looking at art you will never end up buying. In the afternoon another freebee is exotic tea time and it is served with finger sandwiches and biscuits, now that is right up mu alley.......

Hello,
Yes were leaving from Toronto and will be on the costa atlantica feb 27th 2005.......This will be our first time on a cruise and we're a little worried about the reviews we've read.....
1) I've heard about the wine packages well what about beer packages?
2) is there a TEXAS HOLDEM POKER table in this casino?
3)Is the food really that bad? I want to eat like I was at the keg,red lobster or east sides marios.....
Anyone else leaving from Toronto?

Hi Matt and Michelle, seems like a lot of Canadians will be on board that ship. Do not worry you will have a blast from the sexy shows to the bellyflop contests to the Not So New Newlwed GAME. As for the food you have the options of eating anywhere from a cafeteria style to a dinning room style, a pizza parlor and a hamburger stand type. This is going to be our 3rd Costa Cruise and we have always had a blast on all of them Stick around with us Canadians and all will go well.

A typical breakfast for us consisted of scrambled eggs, pancakes juice bacon and toast. My wife would border more towards the fresh fruit, juices and yogurt.
The lunches would be one day fries hamburgers, patatoes or veggies and then othe days we would go to the buffet and have salade pasta meat or fish with all the helpings of fresh or cooked veggies.
The dinner would start with melone and prochutto and then followed by a good salade and then with a plate of pasta and then before the meat plate I would rince my palate with granita, the fish or meat platter was something else and then it would be topped off with Crepe Suzette. Then an hour and a half later we would have the midnight buffet. Am I bringing home my point? do not worry be HAPPY!

I have heard of no beer card or beer packages

Hi! Mario, I really like yours and Snowblind"s idea of wearing something Canadian the first day - from the time we leave home, even! We will get right on that. Oh, M&M? don't forget there's a Toga party. This is our first Costa cruise, so maybe Mario can fill you in on that angle....27 sleeps to go, guys!
