Default Three things non-cruisers still don't know about cruising

These days almost everyone has either tried a cruise, or knows someone who cruises regularly. With this new familiarity many of the old misconceptions about cruises have disappeared. Nevertheless, we still hear about certain surprises from first-time cruisers things that they did not expect to find.

I want to hear from you - even in this enlightened age - what are three things about cruising that you don't think most non-cruisers know...

Please fill in the blanks

This is harder than I thought.

1. With few exceptions, cruises are not all-inclusive

2. Midnight buffets are largely a thing of the past

3. Cabins are not as large as non-cruisers think they are

1. All cruises are not "party" cruises with drunk college kids and adults. Actually, it's the 3 and 4 day cruises where you "may" find this. Seven day and longer cruises have an older demographic and are more mellow.

2. There are cruises where you can actually spend more than one day in a port.

3. Ships are larger than you think. There are plenty of places to relax or party. Whatever your mood is.

Take care,

1/ Dining options are plenty...regementation is long gone.

2/ You don't have to buy ships excursions....lots of options

3/ Discover the aft pools...a hidden jewel
