Default Problems shipping your fish home ??

Did anyone else catch a fish in Alaska this summer that they have not yet seen? We got home at the end of July, and are still waiting. It is impossible to reach the company (Buy N Pack Seafood in Icy Strait Point) by phone, and they don't reply to e-mails. Their most recent voice message indicates that they will no longer be answering their phone because of all the "rude" calls they have received, and goes on about trying to ship our fish to us - never explains what the problem is but makes it clear they don't wish to explain it any further. Meanwhile, we were charged for processing the day we caught the fish (July 18)... We are awaiting both a King Salmon and a halibut. Guess I better plan on Captain HighLiners.

Hmmm....

Are you sure that this "packing company" isn't run by Soapy Smith's boys who escaped from Skagway???

Norm.

Absolutely contact the charter and have them check. Dispute your credit card in the meantime.

Didn't you give them a date for arrival??? All Alaska shipped fish that I have been involved with, asked you for your date- necessary for someone to be home to receive it. Always got the delivery.

Difference is if your fish is smoked, but they still should have given you an estimated date.

If you dispute the credit card charge, the credit card company will be contacting the company very quickly and if they don't have a very good explanation on why you haven't rec'd your order, they will debit the company's credit card company and refund it to you. I would do this very soon, there is usually a limited time limit that you can dispute a charge.
Also, I would see if you can contact a Better Business Bureau for that area and see if they are having numerous complaints about this company. If the company is in financial trouble and they go bankrupt, you could possibly not receive any refund.
