Question Married couple who wants to work on a cruise ship.

Hi, we are Jacques and Rae Coetzer from South Africa. We are seriously considering to work on a cruise line as a married couple. We would like to know if it is possible to do this together? What are our chances of getting in on the same ship?

Jacques would like to apply as a photographer and Rae as a youth counselor. We have already taken the step to update our CV's.

Jacques is a qualified professional photographer with 5 + years of experience in photography.
Rae has a degree in education together with 2 years experience.

Can anyone help us to achieve our dream of working on a cruise ship?

Jacques and Rae

The company doesnt care about married couples. I know some pepole who worked for the same company but on the diferent ships. Even If they have link, sometimes they can go on diferent ways. Just be ready for this.

Yes, agreed. Maried couples have a difficult time. Some cruiseline are more lenient than others, but it in the end it is a commercial business, not a honeymoon

Many cruise lines outsource the photography to companies who operate and man them, whereas youth staff are generally directly employed by the line. This could also be an issue.
