This reminds me of one of those "most embarrassing travel moments" I read or heard at some point. A North American woman decided to put aside her modesty and go to a spa in Germany. She came out of the locker room clutching her towel and hoping nobody would look at her only to find the attendant pointing at her and yelling at her in German. She was single out, of course, because she had skipped her pre-soak shower.

My biggest pet peeve BY FAR is people that wear their sandals in the pool or in the beach area of the pool. Geez.....we don't need you to wash the crap off your shoes in the pool water.

The best time to use the ship's pools are on a port day, when most people are off of the ship. Many times I will use it when returning from an excursion, and want to cool off.

The only thing I've found that I don't like about onboard pools is that they are one depth and one depth only..usually around 6 ft which is deeper than where I can touch (I'm only 5 ft 5). I hate having to hold onto the sides all the time and my son, who loves the water normally, avoided the pools on the last cruise for that same reason. He barely stands as tall as my shoulder and while he's an OK swimmer he sucks at treading water (as do I).
