Up Early Saturday

Good way too early for Saturday morning mates. I've been up with dad. He's all tucked back in and probably asleep by now. I hope to go back to bed in a while but have to wait until I'm sleepy again.

The cats got up with me. They thought they needed fed. Lily is here on the desk getting petted. The dog stayed in bed. Goes to show you who has sense....or maybe she is just lazy.

I ordered my daughter her graduation present last night. She is planning to be an architect. She's off to school in August to study to become one. Her drafting teacher told her she'll need a copy of a certain book that is the "bible" that they all use. I would think it's a textbook but my daughter thinks it's not. She does not think the scholarship will cover it. I'm not sure, but she has her graduation gift from me.

Tonight is prom, so today will be a busy day for the kid. It will be more of the same for me. I tried reading a freebie on kindle yesterday and gave up after several chapters. I should have stopped after one. I thought it would get better. The writing was fine, the plot was lame.

Anyway, I hope Kuki made it home safely. I hope that all of our sick feel better. Todd, hope you are taking care of yourself. Luanne, I hope the puppy is letting you sleep. Have a wonderful weekend all.

I am up for no reason. I just was not sleepy any more. I will go back to bed in a little while.

Morning to all you early birds...I was up till 3 a.m. not sleeping, so slept in till almost 9, and intend, as Manuel says, to have a relaxed weekend!
We must've had some rain overnight because the grass is looking decidedly greener this morning. Presently it is 3C but supposed to go up to 14C or 57F, so it looks like it will be a nice day to take Emma for a long walk, maybe on the beach.
Trivia tonight at our favourite pub, always look forward to that!

Kuki, hope you got home safe WITH your luggage, although I saw on the news last night that Air Canada pilots walked out again, maybe you're still in Arizona?

Luanne, how's Bella doing? Please post more pics of her!

Good Morning All!!

I am so excited this morning because in just over an hour, I will officially be on vacation!! I'll be off for 11 nights and camping for 5 or 6 of them!

We are going to try to be back by Friday afternoon because Saturday is our 6th wedding anniversary! We want to do something special in town just the two of us, and I got a sitter for the kids that evening. I told my hubby he should take me dancing (which I LOVE) but he really isn't keen on the idea. We'll see...

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I will eat a smore for each of you! lol.

I'm saddened to be begin today's report, especially for Rollerdonna, that Robin Gibb is gravely ill and in a coma in London.

Watched the Nationwide race last night. It was held in Texas so I was late getting to bed and then remembered, "So what? Hey, you're retired!"

I also can't wait to see more pictures of Luane's newest member of the household.

Donna, I heard about Robin Gibb too this morning and my first thought was of you, I heard it was pnemonia, hope he recovers quickly.

Good Morning cruisemates! I'm back home in Canada. I now remember why I hate flying so much,, and that is despite the fact that "almost" nothing went wrong with flight home.

My flight was (of course) delayed. I had checked in earlier using my smart phone mobile app, and had signed up for email notifications.

Before I left for the airport I checked and saw the incoming flight was delayed, yet they showed my outgoing flight on time. Figuring they might try and quick turnaround, I went to the airport on time. Got there to find out my flight was delayed; still no change notification to my phone

At least half the flight was families... that meant... KIDS. That meant "early boarding" was about 3/4 of the airplane.

After a bumpy ride home due to winds, they did make up some time in the air. After arriving it took 40 minutes for luggage to start sliding onto the carousel. I almost fainted when my bags were amongst the first 10 out.

Arrived home to light rain, turning to snow. Mrs. Kuki got me up to date on realities at home that I'm going to have to deal with, and I considered heading right back to the airport to go back to Arizona

Keith has gone off to the Wright Flyer Project. I have housework to do. So exciting!

Good morning from an overcast, pleasant south Texas! Finally the clouds and wind have given some relief from the heat of the sun around these parts. It's a very nice day here!!

We've had enough rain that the "burn ban" is off and us country folks can burn trash if need be (we do not get trash pick up way out here). So I lit everything up yesterday and made things tidy.

Not much else going on except to say that I have lost a whopping 15 pounds since surgery 3 weeks ago!! I'm hoping to look a lot more svelte by the time cruise time comes around.
