Default how much movement in back of ship

we are sailing on the Glory in August and can only get rooms in the very back lowest deck because we need a double and a triple we could go up 3 decks but that would cost more. My concern is the motion that you feel in the back how will it compare with the middle. I am very afarid of getting motion sick what is the best spot on the ship

We have sailed several times in all locations of the ship. The worst part
about being in the back on the lowest level is noise and vibrations. To
help cut down on sea sickness try midship on the lowest deck. We really
didn't notice a lot of movement in the back of the lowest level. I hope
this helps.
Happy Sailing and have a wonderful cruise.

Hi barbaraj,

Do you get carsick or airsick? If not, don't worry too much about getting seasick!

We've cruised four times and I always take Bonine with me, but have never had to use it.

Personally, I love the motion! Rocks me to sleep every night (and some afternoons .)

As Cruisingbears said, the "best" place to be is a lower deck midships if you are prone to motion sickness. If your choice is the lowest deck aft, or an upper deck aft, you'd probably be better off on the lower deck.

Have a wonderful cruise!

If you are prone to motion sickness take the cabin on deck six near the middle. The closer to the middle of the ship you are the less motion you are likely to feel. Though I am also prone to motion sickness, I have never had a problem with it on a cruise ship.
As far as the cabins on the very back of the ship, never again! We had a cabin on the very back corner last year, the noise and vibration was horrible. When the ship was using its side thursters while docking and leaving port the walls actually shook and items on the shelves would vibrate around. We didn't let it ruin or cruise, we just know these cabins are not for us. We were on the Zuiderdam but the ship you are looking at might not have these noise and vibration problems.

For what it is worth, my DH and I do not get car sick or air sick, but do
have times of sea sickness. We go to the Pursers Desk and get the free
Meclizine for sea sickness. Just take one tablet with a full glass of water.
It does not make you sleepy and you can continue with your cruise as
normal, eating all you want. You can safely take one tablet every 12
hours. Hope you get your cabin situation resolved.
Happy Sailing...........

You will feel more movement in the lower decks than you will on the higher ones. The back is extremely noisey also due to being close to the engines. I recommend patches for the motion and earplugs for the noise. Try for decks 10 or above the next time you cruise. Enjoy!
