You don't have to have the travel dates. In fact I deliberately leave them off because we travel so much and therefore don't want to have to keep getting the letter. This way once its done you don't...

My son's letter reads something like this:

I, (their name here), mother/father to (child's name here) born (child's bd here) certify that I give permission for my child to travel internationally...

Book an open jaw ticket which would be like a round trip but with different arrival/departure points. For instance you'd ask for LGA to Barcelona and then Rome to LGA.

So my TA called and that Princess Rep told her that the kid's clubs weren't dependent on how many kids were on board which directly contradicts what their website and cruise documention says. So now...

Croatia is NOT to be missed! Its gorgeous and extremely safe. We spent a week there last year traveling all over the country and it was awesome!

Agree that it depends what type of person you are. One thing I did want to note is Venice is very expensive. Its extremely hard to find food cheaply and/or places to stay.

I am an American living in Europe now and have not experienced any anti-American sentiment except in Holland. I absolutely LOVE Athens.

I personally think of Carnival as more of a party type line for younger, hard-drinking types and Princess as a more elegant option. Just an opinion though.
