Default Repositioning cruises

My friends sailed on the Vision of the Seas in May on a repositioning cruises. They felt they weren't treated the same as on a "regular" cruise. Such as small portions of food and a few other things. We want to sail on one next year up the coast to Vancouver but are reconsidering after this. Have any of you experienced this on a repositioning cruise?

My wife and I have been on a few repo,we have never found anything different in the food or anything else. One thing we did find it seems that that cruise is more relaxing for us.We are now looking into a repo from Seattle to Ft Lauradale. The thing with repos is there are usually more sea days.
Try it you may like it.

We just booked on a repositioning cruise. Jewel of the Seas out of Boston.
It has a really nice itinerary. I covers a lot of ground or should I say Sea.?
I am hoping it is as good as it looks. With 5 days at sea we should really be relaxed by trips end.

I am curious to hear from others who have taken Repo cruises.

Did back to back last year with first half being a repo from San Diego to Vancouver ("Radiance o/t Seas"). NOTHING changed from one leg to the other. Dining room menu has been shortened by "RCI" and dining room closes for lunch on port days. This is all from the "bean counters" and it's being done across the board, not just for repo cruises.

Default Repositioning Cruises

We have been on three repo cruises. Two of them were transatlantic from England to Boston, the last was Boston to Ft. Lauderdale (last November).

We thought all the repo's were as good, or better, than a "normal" cruise. No difference in food or service. Biggest difference is the number of sea days, which we like.

We are booked on the Jewel OTS repo for this October, and October 2007 as well. We like the ship and the itinerary. This is the 12-night Boston to Ft. Lauderdale cruise.

Go ahead and book your repo cruise - you will really like it.

We have been on several repo cruises and they are great. Often times they will take you to islands that are not on the usual itinerary (such at Tortola, St. Barts, Guadeloupe, Grenada, Trinidad) We are also booked on the Oct 2007 repositioning from Boston to Ft. Lauderdale. It looks like it's filling up fast.
