Default Emerald Waterways (Singles Should Also Read)

I just wanted to let you know that Nancy and I went to a travel industry forum on Tuesday and the main sponsor was Emerald Waterways River Cruises.

I have to be honest and say we had not heard of this company, which is the main reason why we went, so we could find out more about them. Turns out, they just started in 2014 with 2 brand new ships. Then in 2015, they built 2 more ships, and in 2017, they'll be building 3 more ships. Unlike most companies, all 6 of the ships doing the European rivers are identical. A great feature is the endless pool in the back of the ship that is indoors, heated, and has a floor that raises, so at night they can use the room for movies.

Emerald Waterways is a subsidiary of Tauck, which is a high-end luxury river cruse company for those who want the best. They decided to start another company to appeal to those who still want a premium line without all the amenities, so the prices are better.

I was especially happy to hear they were thinking about single cruisers. If ever a single person wanted to do a river cruise in the future, this is a company you might want to take a serious look at, because they have a couple of single cabins on their boats and, if you book a different type of cabin, there is no single supplement. Obviously, this means a great deal of savings that others don't offer.

We were very impressed with their ships and what they offer, and thought people interested in doing a river cruise would like to check them out. They're just now starting to market to the U.S. and based on what we learned, we would love to give them a try ourselves.

Another thing that also makes a difference in pricing is all gratuities are included, so you don't have to figure that into the final bill. And this includes the gratuities for all the tour guides. For a couple, this can be a fairly significant savings.

Check out their website; https://www.emeraldwaterways.com

Right now, they're having a special, whereby if you book by 9/30/16, airfare from 22 U.S. gateways is $495 per person - obviously for coach. Or they'll provide $700 towards your airfare if you want business or first class. (Airfare from the West Coast is $695.)

Another thing we learned is there's a website where you can compare the river cruise companies and they have alot of great information to share. I think you'll find it interesting and helpful. Check it out;

River Cruise Reviews, Viking River Cruises vs. Uniworld River Cruises

Anyway, not trying to make this sound like a sales pitch and they're not offering some agent incentive, so there's no bonus to the agent if you book through them.

For those interested in a river cruise, especially for singles, I thought perhaps you'd appreciate the information. Please let me know if you have any questions.
