Default NCL Tulum Mayan Ruins Shore Excursion Question

Has anyone taken the NCL Tulum Mayan Ruin Shore Excursion? I am wondering how much steep walking or climbing of steps is involved. I have tender knees and don't want to ruin my vacation by overdoing on this excursion. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

We did this excursion almost 4 years ago. At that time, at least, there wasn't too much stair climbing or steep walking involved. My BIL who was with us had been suffering from a gout attack, and he managed just fine. Do take a few extra dollar bills. The buses park aways outside where the ruins are, and it's a long walk -- or, they run a train that you can ride over to where the ruins are. If you're having mobility problems at all, it's well worth the small extra charge.
