Default Is this discrimination against single cruisers?

I tried to book an interior cabin on the MSC Divina October 18 ,2014 cruise. I got the message " not available for occupancy requested " message. I had indicated single occupany when I was booking. I figurered that the message meant that MSC only wanted double occupancy in the cabin. Has anyone else encountered this situation?

You would definitely get that message if you were trying to book a triple or quad occupancy cabin.

Singles do have their own set of hurdles in booking cabins. Most of the time they will pay double for a cabin unless there is a single supplement.

Take care,

First, let your agent do this - that's their job.

Second, MSC does offer some good single rates - just have to know when and where.

That is a very common message seen in Europe.

It's not discrimation at all. Same as when I try and book a FV cabin on Celebrity M Class. They won't sell them to just 2 people until very close to sailing time.

I was just able to book either an I1 or I2 category inside cabin for the October 18 cruise on MSC Divina, as a single passenger. (I did a dummy booking on their website)
