Default Venice Port

hello all:

I just found out a very important bit of information for those using the Venice Italy cruise port, Venice Terminal Passeggeri. The port takes online reservations (no money involved) for parking spaces at the port garage. They WILL NOT guarantee parking places if you don't reserve in advance.

Parking for a week cruise will set you back 90 EUROS!!! Ouch

Good thing I'm saving several paychecks for this cruise.

Germans are for the most part practical, Trains are a lifestyle and the fuel cost alone would be well over the cost of a train ticket to the port.

and the trains take forever!!! and fuel with the right fuel card can be cheaper, especially since I have pretty much unlimited room in my vehicle And the drive will be half the fun
