Default Resignation-RCL

Hi,

So I was scheduled to depart for Miami today & up until last night my flight/hotel etc was in place. I wake up & my flight has been cancelled & RCL tells me I "resigned" & that I'm not eligible for rehire.

First point, I'm literally staring at my luggage right now. It's packed.

Second, I DID NOT RESIGN!

What in the name of everything holy has happened & what should I do? Because I'm freaking out right now. I was supposed to shore ex onboard RCL Oasis of the Seas!

Hi that sounds stange! Among your paperwork, you should have an emergency contact or crew department number. If not already done so I would suggest calling them as your first priority to find out whats going on.

Certainly strange indeed. I did contact crew assist for RCL and they advised me that I "resigned" and that I am ineligible for rehire, that's really all the info they gave me.... I'm currently awaiting a phone call from the Senior global recruiter for RCL. Hopefully this is just a terrible clerical error. Staying positive 😊 thanks for the reply!

I received a phone call last Friday from a senior recruiter who told me I failed the background check & that I need to clear up that arrest before I can be approved. After talking to the county clerk this could take 6 months to a year to complete the erase of the arrest. UNBELIEVABLE! Looking into other lines now. Hoping for something quick! Sort of left my job a day before I was SUPPOSED to leave for Miami!
