Default New Year's Eve or Just Another Wednesday?

Morning Mates, welcome to the last day of 2014.
What are everyone's plans for this evening?
We are not much for celebrating New Years, so it will be just another Wednesday night around here.
Kind of wish I was on a cruise in the Caribbean though, that would be nice!
The sun is shining again, but don't let that fool you. The temp this morning is about -10 with a -25 windchill...Brrr! Can't believe we've made it to the end of December and still no snow!
Whatever you do tonight, stay warm, and stay safe, and Happy New Year!

Good morning and Happy New Year's Eve.

We're just kicking back this morning and waiting for my daughter, SIL and grandkids to pick us up around 3:00 p.m.. They are taking us to a hotel close to the airport so we can catch our 7:00 a.m. flight to Mexico. We will all go out for an early dinner after we check-in and the kids have a swim in the pool.

Hopefully we'll get to bed at a reasonable time since we will be getting up around 4:00 a.m. Yuck. I hate early morning flights but it was the most convenient for checking into the condo without inconveniencing the owner's plans for New Years Eve. Plus it was $75/pp less than taking the 11:30 a.m. flight.

Tomorrow afternoon, hopefully, we'll be laying by the pool and slowly trying to turn from "fish belly" white to a somewhat darker color. Sunscreen has been packed. Hopefully, a nearby grocery store is open so we can grab a few things or we'll just find an open restaurant for our first night's dinner.

I'll have Internet so I'll periodically check-in to see how y'all are doing.

Robin: I checked the location of La Palapa and it is quite a ways south of where we are but if we are in that area we during our roaming I will definitely check it out.

I sincerely wish everyone a joyous, happy and healthy New Year.

Take care,
Mike

Default New Years Eve or Just another Wednesday?

Good morning. Just another Wednesday here, Donna. We pretty much ignore New Years Eve. Yesterday was nasty: cold, rainy, windy. I don't envy those folks camping out on Colorado Blvd. tonight. Temp range is 29 to 32F. Today you'd never know any of that happened.

The errands we were supposed to do yesterday we'll do today.

Donna, I' m with you. Would rather be on a cruise. Mike, have a safe trip.

Happy New Year, everyone

Judy

We have nothing planned for this evening except to grill a couple of steaks and have a quiet dinner at home. Tomorrow we will entertain our mothers' with a New Years day meal. We are lucky that they are still with us at 92 and 87 years of age.

Mike....safe trip. Donna and James....Judy and Keith....have a healthy and happy 2015.

Wishing all Cruisemates a Happy New Year!

Default Taking it easy

We are senior citizens and our days of New years Eve celebrations ended many years ago.

We are treating tonight like any other night except that at 11:55PM we will turn on our television and watch the ball drop.

Best wishes for a wonderful New year for everyone.

Len

I'm responding to this post a bit late but I have say that I love NYE celebrations.
We spent a week in the Island of Madeira and stayed in a nice hotel in Funchal.
We went with two other couples and we had a blast.
