Best Time Ever for a Passport

I may have the record for fastest passport issued. I dropped my paperwork off after 5:00 PM Friday October 3rd. The clerk told me the runner had just left, so my app would sit there til Monday.....the 6th. So today the 11th, I received my citizenship documents in the mail with a note that my passport app had been approved and I would receive it in a separate envelope. So, if I receive it Monday, the 13th, that would mean I got my passport in 7 days. I'm not sure it can be done faster than that.....what do you think?

I will let you know if it is in the mail on Monday.

You wont get it Monday, it's a federal holiday, no mail runs.....But maybe you will get it Tuesday, that would still be fast though.

True, I forgot about Columbus Day!

My daughter received hers in five business days and seven calendar days. They now have their act together. Outsourcing "may" be a good thing.

Take care,

As I posted previously, I mailed my renewal on a Friday and received it on the following Friday this past July.

That's really fast. Have they contracted this out? Looks like mine was processed by the passport center in New Orleans.

That is why yours was so fast Mel. I am working in the passport office in Houston now and I see people walk out with their passports the same day. :D

All times are GMT -4. The time now is 04:28 AM.
