Default Update on Dad!

I posted a while ago about Dad's condition and his lack of a good opinion from his doctors. They said he wouldn't be leaving the hospital.

I'm happy to report he is now in a nursing home and getting better. It was a tough 3 weeks, he was going through detox and was quite belligerent with all the staff and care givers in the hospital. Once the final effects of alcohol withdrawals wore off he became a better patient.

The doctors now say it's all in his court. If he continues to rehab and work at the physical therapy he'll be able to return home some time.

Thanks for all your prayers for him. He certainly didn't deserve them but I'm grateful you included him in your thoughts.

Regards,
Thomas

Do we have the same father? Sounds like it sometimes. Prayers still continue for Dad and for his wonderful son.

Glad to hear things are working out better than you thought, Thomas. I swear sometimes you can almost see the angel wings on some of the caregivers at nursing homes.

I said this about you and your Mom, so I'll say it about you and your Dad:

He's lucky to have a son like you, Thomas.

I'll continue to include him in my prayers.

Thomas, I remember your post regarding your father and it appeared that his situation was hopeless.
Delighted to read of his improvement.
Best wishes for his continued improvement and I hope a quality of life will be restored to him.

Regards,
Ben

Good News, Thomas. I agree that there are some very good workers in nursing homes who can do wonders with a good attitude and some old-fashioned tough love tendered with TLC.
Your dad needed you and you were there. Good job!!
Lynne
