Default Good Morning and TGIF!!

Good Morning everyone! Another gorgeous day has ended here in SE Wisconsin....BJ you should really consider moving up here!

Today is the first of four days in a row I work over the weekend....I am next off on Tuesday - which just happens to be my last day off before I leave on the 24th for Anchorage.......I am almost in panic mode now with the packing looming, emission testing for the car, house cleaning, bill paying...well you know what it is like before you leave!

Today should be a wet one early in the day here - then drying off, clearing off and cooling off! Weekend looks great - too bad I am working.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning Lisa and all the CM's to follow: Wouldn't it be lovely to just pick up and go on vacation without all the preparation? I wonder what that is like...Oh I know, I'll ask Gary! <VBG>. The puppy arrived home safely last night, athough it was too late for us to visit. I may be puppy sitting for a couple of hours tonight. Her name is Samantha...Sammie for short. I'll take some pics tonight and post them. We have a busy weekend planned. Tomorrow is the annual Vintage Grand Prix here and town and they have a car show during the day. So we will go to that. Then it is off to dinner and to see Momma Mia with Jason's parents. That was Jackie and Jason's gift to all the parents for their wedding. So that will be very nice. Then I hope to being absolutely nothing on Sunday so I can mentally prepare for the first day of my audit on Monday. I hope you all have a great day!

Good morning from Orlando.
Lisa, just focus on the feeling of exhiliration as you make your way on to the ship!
Mary Lou, I have a nice canvas brief case from the vintage grand prix. I think a friend of my sisters' had a car in it a few years ago.
It will be a busy weekend.......time to clean the concesssion stand at the high school since band camp starts on Monday........here we go again.
Having friends (about 10) over for dinner Saturday night, Cruisemates lunch on Sunday (yahoo!!) and drum roll please.........my father in law is being released from the hospital on Monday! Unbelievable.......never thought we'd see this day!

Mornin' all,

Spent about 4 hrs at my brother's last night, trying to get some of the last minute things done. Spent more time helping my other brother with an end cabinet so that the kitchen counter-top can be installed this morning. My DW offered to help SIL with the party Sat. so we will be shopping at Sam's Club tonight.

I finally looked at my e-mails at home and I got a notice from my TA that the doc's are on the way. Ugh, none too soon!! I wish we were leaving this Sunday. But I guess I'll have to wait. <G>

Everybody have a great day and a wonderful weekend!

Ed

Good morning from swfl.........everyone is still sleeping. I am glad today is friday and I am hoping I can get the 2 daughters out of the house today. They have become so lazy ML thats a cute name for a dog. Angela I hope we can make sunday but I doubt it. We need to go to church and the ride to Orlando is over 3hrs long. Lisa how exciting that you will be soon on a cruise! Is this your first Alaska cruise?
Ed, I need the rest of the gutters cleaned. Maybe you can spare me a hand?
Yesterday I took the ladder and cleaned out the gutters that I could reach. I could not reach the one above the pool and someone has to get on the roof. I tried but was unable to pull myself up. One thing is for sure it took my brain of my problems. My dh was mad I did this but after asking him for 6 month I finally had to do it. The rain season is upon us and they need to be free of junk. Today I might take the weeds out if its not too hot again.

have a wonderful mates...keep me in your prayers and I will do the same for you

Good Morning!!!! A little smoggy in NYC this morning but it is supposed to be a nice day. I will be going to "Night in Venice" in Ocean City NJ tomorrow night. It is a boat parade that gives prizes for the best decorated boats and the best decorated waterfront homes. The people go all out spending thousands on parties and decorations. We have been invited to a private home for a party, otherwise I wouldn't go near there.

Sue- gutter cleaning? ewwwwwwwwwwww !!! We are getting gutter guards installed today so we don't have to mess with that nasty chore again.

Everyone have a great Friday and weekend.

Good morning

It looks like another rainy day here in Northern VT - only 63 at the moment and very damp.

Lisa - I hope you are able to check everything off your too do list with ample time left over .

ML - can't wait to see what Sammie looks like! My niece and friend live in NYC. The went to see Momma Mia last night. They know I love ABBA, so they kept calling me during the show so I could here a few snippets of songs here and there. I was a little green with envy. But, oh well my day will come.

Fasteddie - you certainly deserve that cruise. Hope the relatives know how lucky they are to have you around. And I hope they reciprocate. We always seem to be the ones that drop everything to take care of everyone's problems, tho whenever we need a hand it is easier to struggle with it ourselves, as no one is ever quick to respond. Oop's I'm whining. I'll stop now.

Sue - be careful! Hope today brings you some relief in your home.

To all who follow. Hope that you have a wonderful day.

Morning All, from Montreal, where it is cool and threatening rain and thundershowers again today. My garden will love it!
ML, Samantha is the name of my husband's daughter! But Sammie is cute for the puppy. Isn't that Kuki's puppy's name ? (Sam)
Eddie, did you notice, you're now a SDM!!
Sue, what a yucky job...but if it keeps your mind off.....
Doug, the boat parade sounds like fun.
Angela, you've got a busy weekend planned!
Lisa, don't work too hard!

James and I are off out for breakfast, a rare treat when he's on this shift and we hardly see each other!
I'm hoping to go out for dinner also, with my mom and her visiting sister. She is doing very well so far with her treatments, and having her sister there has helped tremendously in the morale department.
Have a great day everyone - it's Friday!

Hi all
I know I have not posted for a while, but I stop by periodically to see how you all are doing and occasionally get into the chat room. I am almost a SDM!!! Our Baltic cruise is July 28, but we leave a week from Sunday to go to Copenhagen. I really am trying to pack. It is so different from packing for a Caribbean cruise. People there now need jackets and raincoats. But it could get hot from what I hear. Well, got the duct tape and bungee cord. DH wants to know what I plan to do with it and I do not have a clue. But everyone says to bring it, lol. Thanks for all your help. I will try to write a review of sorts when I return. At any rate, I will be able to answer questions. Have a great weekend.

Sue,

I had to laugh when I read your post...no, not that part! It would be quite a commute to help you clean your gutters. Up here in New York, we're lucky to have gutters left after the winter.

Anyway, I was laughing about a sight I saw a couple days ago. On a storage building near my house, the gutters have weeds/trees that stand about a foot tall. Your talking about the gutters reminded me of that.

Ed

Good morning everyone.
Mongo arrived home at 7:30 AM and is in working order. Now I just have to wait three weeks for his replacement to show up. I wonder if he knows he is being replaced. Hey, that would be a good Night Gallery episode. :-)

Lisa: Don't go into too much of a panic. I did that just before our Voyager cruise in February and it really screwed things up.

Mary Lou: Sammie is a nice name. You can take her to Calgary and introduce her to Sammy.

Today will consist of some house cleaning, dog bathing and Ramie wrangling. There is nothing major on the agenda for the weekend so Betty and I may make a donation to our local Indian casino. Gotta keep those blackjack skills up between cruises.

I hope everyone has a good Friday and a great weekend.

Take care,
Mike

Computers, at work, was to be fixed yesterday...nnnawwwt! They promised this weekend. Duuuhha...they have replaced almost everything in the network except the fiber optics and that is being done as I type.
Prayers to those in need.

Good Morning cruisemates! The sun is shining brightly in Calgary this morning after last night's torrential storm. Some pretty major flooding around the city last night, so I guess I should consider myself luck I was home.

Though a call to the insurance co. will be in order this morning. Some damage to the roof caused our skylights to leak. But no flooding basements etc. that other people are faced with, so we got off easy.

Today is the last really busy of the Calgary Stampede in the bar. Work, work, work today... golf, golf, golf on the weekend <G>

Hello Everyone
Here I am, late again. Have been involved in coordinating information for a meeting of fellow cruisers on our 9/18 cruise.I'm between two sites, and a couple of threads. Finally, I think both sides are coming together. No sound of animosity intended. We just don't want to miss anybody,as one of our cruisers is making up a list of us involved in the Roll Call so we see who and where we are that week. It's a nice thing. So, I've been checking both boards the last two mornings.

Our pre-cruise documents arrived in the mail today, which is a good sign.At least we're on the list for tickets!

It was very warm down here today again in Central Florida, but we got a pretty heavy, windy shower downtown outside of work. One of the Residents could see it coming across our big lake in town. It didn't last long, though. And, last night, when I thought we weren't going to get a storm, around 8:30PM, some lightning, thunder, and some rain-it was all over in a half hour or less. Our chances increase to 50-60% over the weekend. Squish,Squish.

I am interested in all your news, and enjoy reading your updates. Goodnight for now. It's 10:30PM. YAWN. I'm sure I'll catch you in the morning--no work to rush out to. Lynne
