Splendor check in. Who is going on Splendor and when?
 

I was just wondering if anyone is cruising with me. My cruise on Splendor is May 2, 2010. When is yours? :D

I'll be leaving in 29 days to get on the Splendor the following day (Sept 13). I am so looking forward to the ship!!

We are going on Nov. 29th...
Been on the Conquest a couple of times so looking forward to the Splendor.. LOL
We live near Denver, was going to fly in but may drive & stay a couple of nights at Las Vegas...:twisted:

September 20 this year...just a month and change, cant wait..

Here is an FYI for anybody that is interested. The Long Beach Terminal had the early check-in set up outside of the terminal. We got there about 1015 and had our S&S cards and our Boarding Zone Cards in ten minutes (first time I ever had #1), the only thing was it was still two hours before we got on the ship, I dont't know if it was the 0900 arrival or there was a problem, but there were still people getting of of the ship after 1200.

You will enjoy the Splendor it is great ship and hope to do it again next year.

Oct 18 - we're staying on the Queen Mary precruise, so should be able to do that early check-in and then go back to our QM cabin.

That would be perfect. I wanted to stay at the Queen Mary last time, but with my two boys with us it would have been expensive. The next time it is just my wife and me we will do the Queen Mary.

Nighthawk65 thanks for the informaiton on Early Check in. I want to do that early check in. I haven't decided on a hotel yet. I was thinking of the Queen Mary or the Residence Inn Downtown. But I may just try priceline and see what I get.

It looks like Misguidedangel is getting on first. Then she will pass briguy as he gets on board. :D Me and Thoth have a ways to go still. :(

Bob I love Las Vegas. We are driving, but no plans for Las Vegas yet. I may need to working on the hubby for that one. :wink: My last cruise was on the Carnival Freedom so it will be interesting to compare the ships.

Don't forget me.... 20 days to go...

Sept 20th on Splendor. Can't wait. 2nd cruise for us. Just got back a couple of hours ago from Las Vegas. Not too crowded this last weekend and not too terribly hot. Vegas is always fun as a pre-vacation. Also my daughter stays at the Queen Mary every year for her birthday. We usually book 6 months in advance and you would be suprised at how many times we lowered the price by looking at pricing every couple of weeks because she can be pricey. Our AAA membership was the cheapest pricing when she booked last month for December 2009. She likes the family deluxe rooms with 2 queen beds, however, I have seen inside cabins on Expedia or Trip Advisor much cheaper.

What a line up..... I like it.... especially cause I'm the leader... LOL

Yes. Briguy is the first that I see sailing on Splendor Sept 20th. It also looks like they gets the VIP ??? (not sure what its called after 10 cruises) check in. I think I will try the early check in to avoid my usual anxiety. It also looks like you will be departing the same day. Have a great trip, it is getting real close. All the talk about Queen Mary, I just went on web site and lowered our price by $47.00. Wish I could do the same with the cruise. lol.

Yeah me too, I was never able to lower my price. Then they sold out of my catagory, so oh well, I think we got a good deal, so I'm happy. 8)

I will be on the Sept 6, 2009 sailing and again on the June 27th 2010 sailing. Taking my daughter and her friend for her 23 birthday on the 6th.June sailing there will be over 20 of us celebrating my parents 65th wedding anniversary. Looking forward to both times. Made reservations for Pinnacle Steakhouse. Anyone had that experience?

Funmaker I was thinking about booking the Queen Mary I hear it's haunted, any thing go bump in the night when you were there?

First time I am sailing with somebody on the same cruise from Cruisemates. And I thought I was the only one going on the 20th. Yes, I am platinum so I get to butt to the head of the line. You always get a cold stare or two from the masses who have to wait in the real lines. I have heard people whisper like I am doing something wrong or getting special treatment. Oh well, I earned it and I wont let it slow me down.. ALL ABOARD!!

You are getting special treatment ... you earned it, enjoy it.

Mine is a birthday present as well, just like the last 2 years.
Can't stand for that most special of birthday months to be too quit ! 8)

Okay what is up with this. I turned 40, but did I get a birthday cruise? NO WAY, it's so unfair. Okay so my birthday is in June at the most expensive time to cruise. So it's hotter the heck at the time of year. Who cares; I want my birthday cruise.

On a different note entirely My hubby and I once got upgraded from a 6A(oceanview room) to a 12 (balcony suite) :shock: :mrgreen: and it included VIP check in. It was most excellent. :D Best upgrade I will probably never get again. So I guess I shouldn't complain about the birthday cruise huh. LOL

DH and I will be on the same cruise with ferrangi.

Our cruise is a birthday cruise. Our DS will turn 27 while we are in Mazatlan. But he's not coming with us :wink:

The DW & I have milestone birthdays that bracket our cruise. So that's our excuse, as if we needed one.

Oh that's cold and kind of funny. Happy Birthday Son well we have to got the cruise ship's here see ya sucker. LOL

Oh yeah, my daughter saw a ghost in her room, but she had some friends who were 3 sheets to the wind and they were asleep. She thinks it was all the activity of her surprise 23rd birthday party. I totally believe her. The Queen Mary is haunted, but nice if you are into that.

yes, you do deserve your platinum status. I will try to board early since we all live So Cal. I have friends who are platinum and take their friends and family with them during check in. Very nice. Maybe we will run into each other during our fun trip.

I heard in Stateroom B340 on the Queen Mary, where the purser was murdered, can't be rented it out anymore because it's too haunted. I just sent them an e-mail to ask if they have a Park N Cruise package. They said not at this time. So sadly I will be looking for another hotel. I have narrowed it down to the Crowne Plaza (San Pedro) or the Residence Inn (Long Beach) both have Park N Cruise packages. :D
