Default Grand Cayman port---7 ships in port

I checked out cruisecal.com and found that there will be 7 ships in port
on our day in port. Wow.!! How does this affect tendering from the ship?
Our other ports only have 2 and 3 ships at a time. Will Grand Cayman
be so crowded that we should just stay on the ship? Any info will be
Happy Sailing..............

I just got back from a cruise on the Liberty & there were 5 ships in port. Tendering was pretty efficent but Georgetown was absolutely mobbed with people.

The port area is going to be crowded; it just can't handle that many people. However, when we visited, we got off the tender and walked to the right; over to Eden Rock Dive Center, where we rented equipment for the day. We snorkeled right there for a bit and then walked to Smith's Cove (about a mile down the road----again to the right--away from the crowds). Smith's Cove has a nice little beach, good swimming and snorkeling, a couple of picnic tables and a bathroom. No other facilities (no water or vendors). We've been there twice; the first time, we were the only ones there; this past trip there were about 12-15 other people there. Worth the walk, to get away from the crowds; just remember to bring water. About tendering, just don't wait until the last minute to get in line and you should be able to board without much (or any) of a wait.
