The Sam's Club AT&T cards will work from St. Thomas and San Juan, as they are part of the US. I would think they would work in the Bahama's too, they just might charge you a higher rate.

If using the Sams AT&T phonecards, you need to call the 800 number on the back that says customer service to get an access code that allows you to call from the Bahamas to the US. There are different access codes for each country. Hope that helps!

Hello,

We purchased AT&T international phone cards from Sam's club, we were able to use them in Puerto Rico however we could not use them in St. Lucia, & Curacao. All the phones we saw required you to use a credit card. We did find phones in Aruba that were $1.00 per minute at the tourist center right outside the dock. When I did use the calling card in Atlanta it automatically used 8 minutes, so keep this in mind when choosing your minutes. You can call from the ship however it is around $9.00 per minute. When we were on the Destiny, they would run specials in the Internet cafe, such as a free 15 minutes or something like that. You can try checking out this also as a way of communicating to your family/friends.

There's a phone number on the back of the AT & T cards
that are sold at Sams. If you call it before you go,
they will give you the access numbers you need.

I was told to try to dial direct from the Bahamas and
then it would be at US rates. If that didn't work
they did give me an access number. I think it depended
on where in the Bahamas you called from.

When they charge you 8 extra minutes, this is only
like paying .35 at the pay phone for a call.

I think you can get the AT&T cards at Wal-Mart, but
they aren't as cheap as at Sam's Club. Sam's is under
4 cents a minute and I think Wal-Mart is closer to .10
I haven't checked them lately though.

The best deal is to ask a crewmember when on board where the best place is to buy phone cards. All ports have crew calling centers that sell phonecards with better deals than AT&T.
