Default The sweetest suites are?

This question is for the veteran suite experts. Which of the following had the best perks/service for the overall price?

NCL-Penthouse and up
Celebrity-Sky suite and up
Holland America-Deluxe suite and up

Princess/RCL are the other lines that sail out of Seattle but I have already eliminated them for one reason or another.

I've been researching for days and have found a lot of info on each individually but no comparison.

I am still trying to choose for my 40th birthday cruise to Alaska in May 09. So far I'm leaning toward Holland America. However, the villas on NCL sound spectacular, but I don't think its the right line for me.

Hi cowboybruno,
We had suite on Princess,on RCI but the one we liked the most was on HAL because of the service we did'nt have to ask the butler thought of every needs and was always near by.That's the way we cruise.
Have a nice cruise anyway. MTL

I would go out of Vancouver on Regent Seven Seas Voyager. Smallest suite is fine but you could go for the Penthouse. If you pay for the suites on the lines you mentioned, you will pay almost as much as Regent but still have to pay for tips, beverages, specialty restaurants. In addition, you don't get any better food just because you are in a suite.

We went to Alaska on Mariner in 2006 and had a wonderful time.

I have to agree with Marc on this one. If you are looking for a high end suite you may want to consider a luxury line, such as RSSC, for the cruise. There will not be the additional costs, that he mentioned, that are associated with the Premium and mainstream cruise lines.

If you do want to do a high end suite on Celebrity, NCL or HAL, I would opt for Celebrity or a Courtyard Villa on NCL. Very nice suites and on Celebrity their butler service is first rate.

Take care,
