Default southern carib

Can anyone tell me if you are going to Peurto Rico the day before or even day of cruising if you don't take the transfers that TA offers are there plenty of cabs at the Peurto Rico airport. We did the Eastern and had to wait 45 min. for them to get everyone together and then had to walk (this is in Miami) with our luggage in a line all the way to the bus. I said the next time I will just put luggage in cab and leave.

Airport in San Juan is one of the busiest in the Caribbean, you will have no problem finding a taxi.

Hi Emee,
Ditto what Bill said, much quicker and less of a hassle just grabbing a cab :-)

Miami is one of the worst airports! SJ is very organized but busy at prime time too. When you retrieve your luggage, look for a uniformed member of the Puerto Rican Touist Board. They will have a clip board. Tell them you wish to take a taxi to the Pier or hotel if you do choose a precruise. They fill out the form with the total amount and give it to you. You do not pay them. You take the form to the booth outside and they will hail a cab for you. You pay the driver. It used to be about $18 to the pier per taxi plus extra for luggage and tip. There cabs are nice white logo'd licensed vehicles. Its great to get in an SUV or van all by yourselves.
Bon Voyage
