Default Re: Curious: Anyone encountered racism on a cruise?

Mary Margaret, that is not racist, that is just immature and tasteless. While I am sure there are some feeling of racism onboard with the passengers and maybe even the crew, it is almost always kept well below the surface and everyone seems to get along well. That is one of the nice things that we enjoy about cruising and I have remarked on many times. People tend to leave thier prejudices and hatred behind when the get onboard and because of that they actually talk to those of differant races, nationalities, sexual preferances, religions, cultures, etc and because they do so they become more knowledgable about others and with knowledge comes less fear of the unknown and less prejudice.

24 cruises and counting!
