Default Re: Did anyone else think Alaska was boring?

I just returned from vacation to Alaska, via the Statendam along the inside passage. I found the ship and the ports of call (and the various side trips at each) to be fun and exciting--where else could I take a ride in a helicopter to wak on a glacier; where else could I ride in a float plane to Misty Fjords and see incredible views, or view a black bear in someone's backyard in Juneau; or travel by railroad through some of the US's most beautiful, unspoiled country?
The cooler weather was great also (I live in Austin and it was 100 the day I left for Vancouver)! I thought the activities on the ship--or lack thereof, depending on my mood--were great. The staff and food were excellent in all regards. I recommend this trip to everyone.
