As you know, for years I told everyone the tap water on a cruise ship is just fine. Basically it is. However my recommendation has changed since I cruised the Carnival Pride in 2009. The water on the entire ship, even the MDR, had a strange taste and others also noticed it. Since then I've found bad tasting/smelly/discolored tap water on my next cruise on The Carnival Pride and then on Norwegian Jewel, Norwegian Jade, Celebrity Century (twice) and Celebrity Millennium. It has a lot to do with the plumbing picking up stuff over the years. Now I usually drink bottled water while on a cruise.

Betty is not as picky as I am and has only had a problem with the water on Millennium.

Take care,
Mike
