Cruising has become FAR more diversified in the last few years, and I think that is great.

I was on a smooth jazz cruise during the same week Obama was first inaugurated, and I can tell you there were a lot of misty-eyed people onboard of all colors. It was really interesting.

But I will also say that at our table we had three black people and three whites; and you could NOT tell by color who was conservative, moderate or liberal. I only mention that because it is interesting and to point out that "color" means nothing - and so a person should never pre-judge.

One reason it is more diversified is because a lot more cruises leave from Southern Ports, and racially mixed northern ports like Baltimore. Its only natural that cruising would represent the regions it draws most of its customers from.
