Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines Sovereign of the Seas Bahamas June 27, 2005

The ship is in really good condition after the refurbishments, although I did expect to see better looking cabins. We were in 2040 and 2042.We had a really good time. This being our first cruise we spent most of our time looking around and getting familiar with the ship. The staff was wonderful. We didn't want for anything. The dining room waiters and cabin stewards were the best. The 12 year old girls did seem to run out of things to do on the ship. The age groups were supposed to be seperated into groups 12-14 and 15-17 but they weren't. 12-17 was put together.

Everyone in the fuel area was in the 15-17 age group, so the girls wouldn't go in there. They just roamed the ship. The only real problems were that we couldn't get our formal pictures due to new machines being messed up. Pictures weren't put out until last morning around 6:00,so there were tons of people waiting for pictures and there was no time to wait in the line. We had express check-out. That was the only real dissapointing thing. I was there at 5:45am but was told I couldn't buy anything until after 6:15. Since the pictures weren't all out there was no time to look and find ours and then wait in the awful line. Overall we enjoyed our cruise and would go back but not at a peak time.
