CruiseMates' Readers Cruise Reviews

Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines Sovereign of the Seas by Victoria Lynne Bahamas February 15, 2003

This was our third Royal Car. cruise, and it was a disappointment. We took our two kids aboard and they had a good time. The ship was old and it smelled strange in some places. Getting on board was easy-not too long of a wait. Our cabin was VERY small. The kids liked the bunk beds from the wall. There were a lot of places to put things. The worst was the SMALL shower-it had a slow drain.

Food-only average, not near as good as other cruises.Quantity prevailed over quality. Breakfast in the Dining room was much better than the Windjammer Cafe.

Only went to one shothe Broadway Revue, and it was good.

Cocoa Cay-nice, food was not bad. Nassau-it was my second visit here, and I have no desire to return. People too brazen/pushy in trying to sell things, provide rides. They began to scare my 11 yr. old,so we cut shopping short and returned to the ship. We took water taxi to Atlantis. Ride was crowded on old boats-not fun. We payed $25.00 per adult/$19.00 child to tour aquarium. We thought we could use beach too ,but they said no. Aquar. was nice, but not worth the price. It only took an hour. We got an ice cream- beware a banana split is $7.50. Pay to go to a beach instead. Atlantis resort is big,but honestly it was not as impressive as I thought. Day at beach-pool on ship was VERY crowded. Overall the cruise rated a 5. I've been on much better. Wish I would have payed the extra to go on Disney Wonder.
