This is an amazing ship with excellent swimming pools including an adult only section. Our deluxe balcony cabin was good and compared well with other cruises we have taken. The shows in the evening were OK but not outstanding, the exception was the show on the ice rink which was first class. The big letdown was the food in the formal restaurant, this is not four star and in our opinion was three star or less.
The formal menus read well but in reality were very disapointing. The problem was they were plated meals, at best cool and at worse cold of indifferent quality, badly prepared and presented with very slow service. If you wish you can pay an extra $25 each per night to eat in the specialty Portofino restaurant which we found excellent but expensive. The buffet option for breakfast, lunch and dinner was acceptable but not outstanding. The formal lunch was again of indifferent and variable quality, we only went once. Royal Cabribbean have a overal quality control problem with their formal dining which they need to address. Very simply other cruise lines do a much better job.
