Monarch of the Seas

This was my ninth voyage as a Royal Caribbean platinum member and I will have to say I was quite impressed with their 'eldest' in fleet(18 yrs.) After cruising on their newest ships like Freedom & Liberty I honestly was quite hesitant to book this one. But with my schedule allowing only a weekend, 3 nights was perfect. The Monarch was set up perfectly. You never felt at any moment it was crowded.

The Schooner Bar was my favorite bar as it stretched almost the whole floor on the port side, with the Boleros Lounge on the other side. If you like workouts their Shipshape Fitness center has all new updated equipment, very nice. The food was good no complaints. It has gone through some renovations in 2008 so you can see that all common areas have been upgraded. The only thing next for the Monarch to upgrade is their bathrooms and the pool deck grass carpet. The Monarch's staff truly served you where you appreciate every dollar spent. Definitely I would go again.
