Just returned from 7 day cruise on the Enchantment. What a great time. Everything was just about perfect considering we were playing dodge hurricanes. Royal Caribbean did a great job going around the back way to the west. We did not get to stop in Cayman Islands which was disappointing but waves were too rough and we could not tender to the island. Compensation was an open bar for 1 hour on Wednesday. Of course like in any situation there are always the ones that take advantage but I think most people got plenty of free drinks. Everything else was perfect. The food was really good. Alot better than the Sovereign of the Seas. The service in the dining room was also great. No problems in the Windjammer either. We had a really good and personable waiter/Marijan and a really sweet Asst. Waiter/Elena. Had a Balcony Stateroom and it was really roomy and spacious for 2 people. Had plenty of storage space for all the clothes I thought I must have.
Shore excurions were OK. The only thing that you really get tired of is everywhere you go someone is asking (and they do ask) for a tip. After a while its gets a little tiring. But you know going in that tipping is not included. Even the cooks on Passion Island (one of the shore excursions)actually got on the boat back to the mainland and ask for a tip. Of course you don't have to give but.... All the shows were very good and the Cruise Director (Marc) did a great job. (He was always very upbeat and happy). In other reviews it was mentioned that the crew was not very friendly. I did not find this on this ship. Embarkment and Disembarkment was very very easy and security seemed very tight. You had to scan your card and they had a picture of you pop up on their screen. Yes, it took a little longer to get back on the boat but who was in a hurry. We were on vacation. Anyway, had a great trip and can't wait to go back. We are already planning another cruise and we will stick to RC.
