Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines Brilliance of the Seas by 1shopper Western Mediterranean September 21, 2005

Beautiful ship with good service. Stateroom and stateroom service excellant. Food consistently good; selections somewhat limited and repetitive; food service good. Suspect food poisoning last day of cruise, however. Did not particularily like the way port tours were organized (never could seem to find a tour that included everything we wanted to do-only parts of what we wanted), but guides were very good. Tour of the city (Barcelona) with transfers at disembarcation very poor. Somewhat lacking in follow up to small details-tours frequently returned to ship after assigned meal service began; needed to purchase port transfers-would prefer to have them included in total cruise price; staterooms clean but smelly; food a little salty-similar to something "straight out of a prepackaged mix", etc. Wonderful gym!

This is a "family oriented" line that attracted older clients and few children on this fall cruise. As a more mature traveler, amazed that "rap music" was played on overhead systems with this group, and that we were read the "riot act" over potential behavior the first night of the cruise! Would consider cruising RCCL during times of year that children are not likely to be present, but would stay off these ships other times! Good value for the $$ with a little price shopping and definitely a memorable and positive experience.
