This was the first time I have ever been on a cruise, so it is hard for me to compare. I had a good time on the cruise to Alaska and considering the ship was new, I guess that is why it had so many bugs to work out. I do want people to be aware of the medical center. PLEASE call your insurance ahead of time if you plan on taking a cruise and especially if you are elderly or will be needing possible care.
There are certain insurance carriers that do not cover this because the ship is not registered as a US ship. My grandmother ended up paying over $3500.00 out of pocket. They also made her get off in Victoria and didn't see that she got to the hospital and admitted safely. They never did admit her and she had to take the clipper back to Seattle. What a mess!
