The Crown Princess has no peer (Or is it PIER?). I'd rather sail from Fort Lauderdale, but San Juan was O.K. Slow embarkation due to security check. You can't board with a tweezer, but at dinner they give you, and everyone else, a sharp steak knife. A clean, handsomly appointed ship that takes over 3,000 passengers but doesn't feel crowded. Nice cabin (Caribe deck terraces are twice as large as other decks).
Great bed, smallish shower. Everything was as good as any reasonable cruiser could expect. Food, entertainment, shore excursions, crew, ect. Great effort to keep clean with required hand applications of Purel at all dining. I would always recommend Princess as a good value. Need a private butler for your suite? Cruise Crystal and pay twice as much. I've done 35 cruises and really only dislike Carnival and Norwegian.
I like to book relatively new ships, like Crown Princess, because they don't have that worn out, time for an overhaul look. I'd use Princess again but tend to choose cruises by itinery and will use Celebrith and Holland America as well.
