November, 2001 I just returned from sailing on the Sun doing the New England Canada cruise.
I thought the value was exceptional. The service I experienced was above average. I must say though that I never ate at the busy times. The service in the specialty dining rooms which were never busy was great and the food was served hot and freshly made. In my opinion it is worth the $10.00 cover just for the ambiance and the quarantee of a table for two with never a fuss.
It is nice to get away from the crowds to the peace and serenity of these restaurants and you have the feeling of being on a 5 star plus ship at half the cost.
I would definitely choose this ship again, especially for a warm climate cruise.
