This is a great ship -- very modern, brand new, clean, great service, and great food throughout. Feels like a 5-star hotel.
First the bad news: Fois Gras is still being served at some of the restaurants -- a huge disappointment for many travelers due to the horrifying techniques used on geese.
The other bad news -- Some of the shows were absolutely awful. The full band, dancers and singers put on great shows 3 nights, but the rest of the performances were dreadful, unless you are over 80 years old. Two nights a xylophone artist perfomed. We left early, and still can't get that sound out of our heads. There is also a barber shop quartet you cannot get away from. They are everywhere.
Now for the good news: The food is great, even room service.
There are 3 pools with lots of lounge chairs. Best spots are the Solarium pool with soothing music and no kids.
Don't miss lunch in the aqua spa next to the solarium. GREAT, healthy food and awesome desserts.
There are nice shops on board as well.
For outstanding views and quiet times, head up to the Solstice deck. Port side of the ship can get noisy from the smokers on deck 5. You can smoke there or in one section of the sky lounge.
THIS IS A WONDERFUL SHIP!
