This is the fifth cruise my husband and I have taken and by far it was the best. We appreciated the little things that were done to make our stay welcoming and comfortable. Little touches, like the glass of champagne as we came on board and the cool towels at the pier after a hot day of sightseeing.
We appreciated the very low key approach the ship took. We knew what was happening at all times because of the written literature placed in our cabin. There were very few public address announcements to simply repeat information we already knew. It was nice not to hear the constant dinging signalling a message was about to be made.
The food was fabulous and in twelve days we only had one entree that disappointed. The menu was varied and there was always more choices that we needed. It was nice to have the live music during dinner and it definitely added to the ambiance of the dining room. Service in the cafe was wonderful, with someone always close by to carry your tray for you. We made good use of the Waffle, Sushi and Pizza and Pasta Bars.
Due to poor weather the Port Authority in Grand Cayman would not allow tenders to dock, so unfortunely we missed this port. To make up for this, the captain went out of his way to find another port to visit. We ended up going back to Cozumel for a day on our return trip.
The shows put on by the Celebrity Singers and Dancers were first rate. They had a wonderful ballerina who stole the show every night. On the whole it was a wonderful cruise. Galaxy is not as large as some ships out there, but bigger isn't always better. The ship was well laid out and easy to get around on. It had everything most people would want in a cruise. We would recommend Celebrity Cruise Lines to anyone.
