Terrific, that is how my husband and I feel about Galaxy. Why? Service, Staff, Food, Understated elegance...all of it. While not the most beautiful or glitzy ship we have been on (we have done 16 cruises) it was just so gracious. If you want fun, and constant adult day camp perhaps it is not for you. But if you like quiet elegance this is the ship.

The spa is not as large as some but it is very nice and has a thelossotherapy pool.

The dining room is quite nice with many small intimate tables unlike so many of the cruise lines with 8 and 10 to a table.

We booked this cruise for no other reason than my husband had a broken back and couldn't travel far to the ship. So Baltimore was the answer for us. How sorry we are that we did not find this cruise line a long time ago. So much so that we have booked
Galaxy for this coming May transatlantic. Yes, we liked her even better than our transatlantic on the QE2. I sure hope she lives up to our last experience on her.

The cruise director Susan Weeks is very personable along with all the staff. One young lady called me by name throughout the 11 days and all I did was stop by her bar and have one drink at the beginning of the cruise. So was the extent of being treated as a celebrity.
