This was our first cruise, but the first of many! What's not to like? First of all, we were upgraded from inside, category 9 to an outside window, category 7. Our room was very nice, queen-size bed, more closet/drawer space than I've ever seen in a hotel, and of course, kept immaculately.

The food was absolutely top-notch. We ate most meals in the main dining room, except when we overslept, or got back from a shore excursion. Our asst. waiter was exceptional, although the waiter (who replace the original one due to sickness) was most helpful. Our table companions were very sociable.

The entertainment was great! The song amd dance troupe was excellent, full of energy. The juggler was funny and good. The shows - The Beat goes on, On Broadway, and Las Vegas now and then, were very professionally done, and most enjoyable.

Shore Excursions:
Jamaica - a little disappointing! We took the yacht cruise to Dunn's River falls, tried and failed to climb them , tried swimming in the sea there - not especially exciting. It was raining off and on, so we just waited to get back on the boat..

Grand Cayman - the very best! We went directly to Sting Ray City. It was so much fun to feed the stingrays (the right way, with your thumb tucked down). They were so numerous, I almost tripped over one. It wasn't very crowded, even with another cruise ship there. The shops in town were interesting, bought a few small things.

Cozumel - again it was raining. We lucked out, took a glass sided boat to the coral reef, where we saw lots of fish in dry comfort, while it poured overhead. Did our heavy shopping right off the dock. Bargaining is fun, sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't.

Key West - finally a sunny day, quite warm. Took the tram on the island tour, our guide was very interesting, told us lots of stories, pointed out banyan trees, the end of US 1, etc. More shopping, then back to the ship to collapse.

The days at sea very great - very relaxing. I can't wait to go on our next cruise and wouldn't mind the same itinerary to see some of the sights we missed first time out.

The only complaint at all we had was the location of the hotel in the Fort Lauderdale Day Prior Program. Our room was very nice. However, since the hotel is near the airport and Port Everglades, there is nothing near it to walk to. Yes, it rained in sunny Florida. I think next time I'll find my own hotel, either on the beach, or in town, and take a cab to the airport.

All in all, this was the best and most relaxing vacation we've had. Can't wait to sail on Celebrity again.
