I would rate my cruise experience with Carnival a 2 on a scale of 1-10.
The food was very good, no complaints there. It is comparable to any other cruise line.
The service was excellent in the dining room, the room service was good except that I was missing a $100 bill that I had set inside a cupboard when I left my room. That made me very leary about leaving anything in the room at all.
The shows were, on the whole, not great. Royal Carribean puts on much more professional and more entertaining shows by far.
My major complaint would be with the safety of the ship. In the hallways, there are aluminum seams between the corridors. while they should be almost flush with the carpet, they are very oversized and are an accident waiting to happen. The decks on both ends of the lido deck are incredibly slippery. People were falling all week. I fell on the last day of the cruise and have five fractures to the wrist of my dominant hand.
In the future, when I cruise, it will be with Royal Carribean again. I would definitely not recommend Carnival. Their guest relations are terrible.
