Wonderful time had by first time cruisers on immaculate ship, Inspiration. Embarkation and debarkation were like clockwork, particularly if you waited til last call to get off(around 10). Entertainment was first rate, from cocktail pianists, to rock and roll band, Classical string trio, and all the "Vegas style" acts. Food was well prepared, plentiful, diverse and tasty-but not gourmet. Service, from incredible cabin attendants, to food and drink servers, in fact everyone we had contact with, was friendly and helpful. Saw every type of cruiser from "Spring Breakers", young couples with infants, older groups of scrapbookers, handicapped and wheelchair bound, middle agers, second honeymooners, families with teens, and more.
Were surprised by the diversity, in fact. Everyone seemed to have their thing to do-lazing by the pool drinking, gambling and drinking, eating and drinking, taking in shows and drinking, etc. Ship must make at least as much on bar tabs as price of the cruise-beware. Some even brought coolers of their own stuff. If booking shore excursions-ours in Cozumel- do it online to save $$ and avoid crowded groups from the ships. The dune buggy tour was awesome. If you have a late flight out of Tampa, there is a place right in the terminal which will secure your bags for a nominal fee-very handy. Visit the Aquarium and Ybor City for a nice 1/2 day visit.
