Just took a 7 day Carribean cruise on the Holiday with a group of 16 consisting of family and close friends. It was very confusing checking in at the airport with Carnival and getting a shuttle, and because some of group arrived later in the afternoon there was no direction or help available to tell them to tell them where they needed to go. They just made the last shuttle bus to the ship. Once on board the ship, things went much smoother. For an older ship it is in very good condition and finding your way around was fairly simple.
The cruise director, Josh, was the best one we have seen, and most of us have done several cruises in the past. His Assistant, Tracy, and the other 2 social hosts did a wonderful job keeping everyone busy and getting the passengers to participate in the activities. Tracy also recommended some great shore tours. The food was high quality and our wait staff was great. The itinerary was good, except for the stop at St. Kitts. There was not much to do there. I would have rather spent more time in Barbados or had a sea day and skip St. Kitts altogether. Because there was a port call everyday, there was not as much time on board to do some of the activitives. Because you were tired after spending the day sightseeing, etc. everyone went back to the ship exhausted and took naps, missing some of the fun stuff on board. The entertainment was very good and the Casino staff was wonderful and very friendly. Apparently they are not used to getting tips, as they were elated when our group came in as we all tipped well.
