Just returned from the Glory. Wow what a great ship it is. Let me start with everything running smoothly from the time we left New York on Sat. morning till the nest Sat. when we sadly were leaving the ship. We got on board at about 12:00 and were having lunch by 1 and going down the slide by 2. Once getting into our room 7329 we were so surprised to see how big and spacious it was. The bathroom was like in a first class hotel. The balcony was beautiful and truly relaxing. I will try to be brief in the ports of call area.
Nassau - We went to Atlantis and used the beach and even got into the hotel from the beach and got to enjoy the pool and a cool drink.
St. Thomas - Not our favorite port, but we did have fun we went to Morning Star beach (Marriott Hotel) it was OK but a lot of walking and I don't think people were happy to have cruise ship guests at the beach. We did some shopping and enjoyed that and then back to the ship for a quick dip in the pool.
St. Maarten - Wow Wow what a day we went to Orient Beach and didn't want to ever leave. The water was beautiful and the people so friendly! The cab ride was about 20 minutes and well worth it.
The 2 at sea days were great for soaking up sun, relaxing and eating, and bingo, and donating some to the casino.
We were in the Golden dining room late seating lower level table 159 table for 8 we had great table mates and enjoyed a lot of laughs. We did the Supper Club on Wed. night $25 a person and worth every penny of it, I won't give away any of the special treats they do, but it is something you must do!
We had a wonderful time and like I said in the beginning everything went smoothly throughout the trip. If there was a negative it would only be that there were a lot of little kids whose parent's were not supervising at all eg. splashing everyone in the pool running around screaming and bumping into whomever. But I guess when you go away on summer vacation that is what is to be expected.
I would recommend the Glory highly. Have fun crusing and Cheers!! Nancy
